Job Description

St. John's University, established in 1870, has three campuses in New York City, a graduate center in Hauppauge, NY, and international locations in Rome, Italy; Limerick, Ireland; and Paris, France. Position Responsibilities

  • Teaching primarily in general chemistry (lecture, lab, recitation) and organic chemistry (lecture, lab, recitation), with consideration for advanced courses based on program needs.
  • Courses are mostly in-person at 8000 Utopia Parkway, Queens, NY, with some online classes (synchronous and asynchronous). An online teaching certificate is required for asynchronous classes.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in chemistry or a closely related field.
  • Teaching experience in chemistry preferred.
  • The position is renewable, contingent on performance.
  • Compensation: $950 per credit without a Ph.D., $1050 per credit with a Ph.D.
