Department Summary

The Department of Information Science offers programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. Our programs are nationally recognized and ranked. The Master of Science program with majors in Library Science and Information Science is accredited by the American Library Association. The School Library Media Certification is ranked tenth in the nation and the Health Informatics program is ranked seventh in the nation. We also offer the nation's largest interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Information Science.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. • Teaching experience in graduate-level courses at UNT or similar higher institutions of education. Ability to teach and lead online instruction, and familiarity with the Canvas academic platform.
