Job summary

Cleveland State Community College is seeking adjunct faculty to staff the LET program across multiple courses and locations, including online options. Instructors deliver quality instruction, manage coursework, and communicate with students through the campus email system.

Responsibilities include planning and teaching, maintaining standards, evaluating students, meeting administrative deadlines, and coordinating with department leadership for instructional resources.

Qualifications

• Must have P.O.S.T. Commission recognized instructor credentials.
• Advanced instructor level training depending on subject matter.
• Documentation of subject matter expert (subject to P.O.S.T. approval).
• Documentation of substantial experience in law enforcement instruction.

Responsibilities

• Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and syllabi.
• Beginning and ending all classes as scheduled and covering learning outcomes.
• Maintaining standards and classroom environment conducive to learning; communicate with students weekly.
• Evaluating students using various methods and informing scores promptly.
• Using Cleveland State email for administrative purposes and responding to questions.
• Meeting deadlines for administrative requests and reports.
• Requesting equipment, supplies, texts through department chair or lead teacher.
