Job Description:

The Adjunct Instructor may be assigned to prepare and deliver lecture(s) and or/facilitate lab(s) and/or support clinical education.

Required Qualifications

• Licensed D.O., M.D., PhD, or other doctoral degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Board Certification in specialty area for physicians

Job Duties

• Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large
• Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students
• Promote by precept and example a general atmosphere within LMU - DCOM of respect for knowledge, thought and inquiry
• Deliver lectures utilizing the latest body of knowledge and evidence
• Prepare examination questions as requested
• Meet with course directors as needed and deliver lecture(s) according to published schedule
• Commit to working in a professional multicultural environment that fosters diversity
• Serve as an example to learners and colleagues of appropriate professional behavior
• Demonstrate and supervise students during clinical educational activities utilizing standardized patients and/or volunteer patients
• Supervise students during authorized and approved patient care events including health fairs, sports physicals, or community outreach programs
