The North Central College English Language Institute (ELI) is seeking part-time instructors in the Intensive English Program. Course instruction may include Reading & Vocabulary, Writing & Grammar, Listening and Speaking, or Cultural Topics.
The part-time instructors report to the ELI Director. This position is responsible for teaching multilingual students in a variety of academic English language topics, at different levels. Instructors should be familiar with needs assessments and be able to effectively adapt curriculum to serve a variety of student populations.
Individual must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities described below or be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Customer service is critical to the success of North Central College. Strong customer service skills build retention and visibility as the College strives to distinguish itself from its competitors. An individual in this position must possess the proficiency, wherewithal and knowledge of principles and processes for providing high-quality customer service to colleagues and students within the College community, vendors who contribute to the College’s success and College patrons.
