The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. seeks an EMT instructor to help run allied health courses. The role focuses on ensuring equipment is available, inventoried, and in proper working condition before each class.
Instructors report issues to the EMT Program Director and coordinate resolutions to keep classes on schedule. Applicants should hold SC EMT certification and have at least two years of experience at that level, plus completion of a 40-Hour Instructor Methodology course or equivalent,
Under the general supervision of the Allied Health Program Manager, the instructor would ensure that all minimum equipment is available and in clean working condition prior to the start of each course. Instructors should inventory all equipment and verify its presence and proper working condition prior to beginning each class. (Cancel any class meetings and report any equipment problems to the EMT Program Director. The problems must be corrected prior to resuming class meetings.)
Current certification as SC EMT, a minimum of two (2) years of experience at their certification level, and successful completion and documentation of a 40-Hour Instructor Methodology course or equivalent. Examples of accepted courses include the National EMS.
