The appointment begins January 4, 2027. A Bachelor's in editing or publishing is required, with MA and/or industry experience desirable. Teaching experience and knowledge of copy editing and the publication process are preferred.

• Knowledge of core concepts of copy editing, substantive editing, the publication process, and/or the business of editing and publishing.

• Teach ELING 350 (Basic Editing Skills), ELING 410R (Genre and Substantive Editing), ELING 430R (Editing for Publication), and ELING 415 (Business of Editing and Publishing).
