Palm Beach State College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Earth Science courses, develop curricula, and assess student learning. The role supports student skill development and aligns with PBSC’s mission to inspire hope and transform lives.

About this role Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. What an Adjunct Instructor’s Day looks like:

Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards. Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.

• Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required. Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Education and Experience: Master's degree in Earth Science, Geology, Oceanography, Meteorology, Physics, Physical Science, Astronomy, and Geoscience or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Earth Science, Geology, Oceanography, Meteorology, Physics, Physical Science, Astronomy, and Geoscience.
• Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies.

Pay Rates: Standard hourly rates vary based on the assigned course level and educational credentials. Must have the ability to work a fluctuating schedule to include evenings and weekends.
