Qualifications

Job description

Program Overview

George Fox University's Doctor in Occupational Therapy (OTD) program is seeking adjunct instructor(s) to teach in the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters, with the possibility of teaching in subsequent semesters. The instructor will teach OTD courses, ensure compliance with ACOTE accreditation and capstone requirements, and collaborate with department faculty, reporting directly to the OTD Program Director.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with ACOTE capstone requirements.
  • Manage and teach OTD and capstone courses and engage in scholarship and service activities for the institution.
  • Demonstrate professional skills and interactions that support the mission and vision of the OTD program and the university.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with employees, students, and the public in a spirit of teamwork, respect, and customer service.
  • Act as a Christian role model for students through casual contact or formal supervisory roles.
  • Demonstrate awareness, respect, and appreciation for diversity of culture, background, race, sex, political views, expressions of faith, and work well with a variety of people.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree from a USDE‑recognized accredited program and active license as an occupational therapist in Oregon, with a minimum of three years of clinical practice experience.
  • Prior or current experience as full‑time or adjunct faculty (preferred).
  • Experience in pediatrics or adult physical dysfunction clinical practice (preferred).
  • Experience with the ACOTE accreditation process and innovation with hybrid educational models (preferred).
  • Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a willingness to express Christian testimony in a church; agreement to live in accordance with the Community Lifestyle Statement and the Statement of Faith.
