The University of Kansas Department of History invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach a course on digital history at undergraduate and graduate levels for Spring 2027. This term appointment is not tenure-eligible and may be renewed based on needs and funding.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. and will develop syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments, advise students, and maintain office hours while collaborating with colleagues and complying

Qualifications

• MA in discipline or BA in discipline with 5 years of relevant experience required for undergraduate instruction.
• Terminal degree for graduate-level instruction or Master’s with 7 years of relevant experience; evidence of research/academic achievement.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in digital history; develop course materials and syllabi; create lectures and assignments; grade student work; advise students and hold office hours.
• Collaborate with colleagues, stay current in the field, and adhere to departmental, school/college and university policies.
