Qualifications

• Master’s degree in History or related field with 18 credit hours in graduate History courses.
• Experience with Canvas and Pathway LMS.
• Ability to teach diverse student populations and promote inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage syllabus materials using the UMKC Syllabus Generator (SG) and/or Required Syllabus Elements Templates.
• Select and compile tests, assignments, and online discussions to measure student performance relative to learning outcomes.
• Submit copies of all syllabi to the department to ensure courses comply with UMKC standards.
• Coordinate courseware and curriculum with the academic department chair and review textbook changes.
• Maintain, update, and ensure accuracy of content on Canvas for all assigned courses.
• Utilize Canvas to engage with students and support learning outcomes.
• Maintain effective and timely student assessment and feedback.
• Input final grades into Canvas and Pathway and submit gradebooks by deadlines.
