Qualifications

Job Description

SUMMARY: Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center (EOC Tech) is seeking an experienced construction professional to serve as a part-time instructor for our new ACD Construction Management Academy. The instructor will provide practical, hands-on training to adults pursuing careers or advancement in construction management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Help develop curriculum, course content, and hands-on learning activities
  • Teach evening, short-term construction management courses
  • Provide practical, industry-based instruction
  • Use real-world examples, construction documents, and hands-on activities
  • Support students in developing skills needed for construction management careers
  • Collaborate with EOC Tech and local industry partners
  • Keep course content current with industry practices and technology

A degree is not required. Relevant industry experience and demonstrated knowledge may substitute for formal education.

Minimum Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 Construction certification
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, supervision, project management, estimating, or a related field
  • Experience working on commercial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices and project coordination
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with adult learners

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Construction estimating and takeoffs
  • Project scheduling
  • Procore, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project
  • RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts
  • Jobsite supervision and leadership
  • Construction technology and digital tools
