Job summary

Chattanooga State seeks Adjunct Instructors to teach Computer Applications and Spreadsheet Applications at local high schools, including Ooltewah High School and Central High School. Courses include INFS 1010 and BUSN 1370; classes run mornings and/or afternoons across up to 15 weeks starting Oct 2023 and Jan 2024.

Under the supervision of the Department Head and Lead Faculty, instructors will deliver quality instruction, maintain attendance, evaluate student performance, and adhere to college

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or a Bachelor’s in one of these fields and meets two of the certification criteria.
• Two years of work experience (not including teaching) or teaching excellence awards or professional certifications.
• Willingness to align with college policies and adjunct handbook requirements.

Responsibilities

• Instruct assigned classes using evidence-based practices and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Maintain attendance records, evaluate student performance, and assign midterm/final grades.
• Comply with Strategic Plan, College Catalog, Adjunct Faculty Handbook, and Employment Agreement.
