Job summary

Chattanooga State invites applications for Adjunct Instructors to teach Computer Applications and Spreadsheet Applications at local high schools, including Ooltewah High School, Ooltewah, TN, and Central High School, Harrison, TN. Courses include INFS 1010 and BUSN 1370 with mornings and afternoons during a 15-week term, starting Oct 2023 and Jan 2024.

Under supervision, adjunct instructors deliver quality instruction, maintain attendance, evaluate student work, and adhere to college policies.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems and meets at least two of the criteria below.
Two years of work experience (not including teaching)
Teaching Excellence Awards, Professional Certifications, Research or Publications, or additional graduate coursework.

Responsibilities

Instruct assigned classes with quality pedagogy and maintain a positive learning environment.
Maintain attendance records and evaluate student performance on assignments and labs.
Assign midterm and final grades and provide timely feedback to students.
Comply with college policies outlined in the Strategic Plan, Catalog, Adjunct Handbook, and Employment Agreement.
Support holistic student services and campus programs as needed.
