The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. seeks an Allied Health Program instructor to prepare students for the state nursing assistant certification exam.

The role covers CPR, first aid, anatomy, and patient caregiving while integrating knowledge of vital signs, hygiene, ROM, infection control, and safety in both classroom and clinical lab settings. Candidates should have RN licensure and a minimum of two years of RN experience, including at least one year in long-term care, with SCDHEC approval

Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Allied Health Program Manager,instructor will prepare students for their state's nursingassistant certification exam. Classwork includes training onperforming CPR, first aid skills, human anatomy, basics of patientcaregiving including taking vital signs, personal hygiene andrange-of-motion exercises, infection control, and general safety.CNA classes offered by Central Carolina Technical College will alsoprovide specifics on working with their patient population, whetherthey are elderly residents of a nursing home or patients for a homehealthcare agency. CNA programs will also include hands-on traininghours in the lab and at a local Nursing Home Facility workingdirectly with patients in which students can put their classworkinto practice.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A minimum of two (2) years RN nursing experience including at leastone (1) year in the provision in long term care nursing serviceswithin the last five (5) years. Candidates must get SCDHECapproval prior to teaching.
