Summary of Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging business-related instruction through the Business Resource Center, incorporating current industry knowledge and best practices.
• Prepare and maintain course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and other instructional resources.
• Foster a student-centered learning environment that encourages participation, professional development, and practical application of business concepts.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback to support learning and growth.
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, participation, and other required documentation.
• Create and maintain a respectful, welcoming, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student success and engagement.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and university stakeholders regarding course expectations, progress, and resources.
• Adhere to university policies, procedures, and instructional standards while supporting the mission and goals of the Business Resource Center.

• Thorough knowledge of business principles, practices, and current trends relevant to the subject area being taught.
• Knowledge of effective instructional methods, adult learning principles, and strategies for engaging students in a business-focused learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex business concepts clearly and effectively.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and instructional technologies, including learning management systems, presentation software, and online communication tools.
• Ability to develop and deliver course content while following university policies, procedures, and instructional guidelines.
• Ability to foster a positive, student-centered learning environment that supports student engagement, learning, and professional development.
• Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback, assess student learning outcomes, and adapt instructional approaches to meet student needs.
