Job Summary

An Adjunct instructor is a term‑to‑term appointment responsible for students, course material, and classroom and/or online instruction. Teaching duties include all levels of the Business curriculum for undergraduate and graduate courses.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake teaching and learning related activities, as agreed.
• Ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared and that assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
• Provide administration, reports, and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
• Contribute to the development of curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration functional skills, development, and equality and diversity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate studies in a Business discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
• Expertise in any area of business management/administration.
• Enthusiastic educator with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with others within a larger department on curriculum, scheduling, study abroad, and related areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or terminal degree (MBA, DBA, or Ph.D. in Business) from a regionally accredited university.
• Minimum of 18 hours of graduate work within the discipline.
• Professional certifications within the related discipline.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in areas such as economics, finance, or other related areas.
• Minimum one year of online teaching experience.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in the discipline area.
• Demonstrated proficiency in popular software tools and learning management systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
