Converse College seeks an instructor to teach second-semester algebra-based physics for Spring 2027. The role includes 3 hours of lecture and 3 hours of lab weekly, with labs conducted in person and daytime MWF lectures.
The candidate will prepare the syllabus, select labs, and set up exercises for the course. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Physics with teaching experience and is qualified to teach in the US.
Physics Instruction The Department of Natural Science is looking for an individual to teach both lecture and lab for second semester physics (algebra-based) during Spring, 2027, which begins on January 13. The class involves 3 hours of lecture and 3 hours of lab each week. Labs must be face-to-face. The class is currently scheduled in the daytime with MWF lectures from 1:30-2:20 and labs on Thursday from 9:00-12:00 and 2:30-5:30. The schedule can be adjusted for appropriate candidates. The individual will have full course responsibility, including creation of the syllabus, determining the labs, and setting up the lab exercises.
Qualifications include a masters degree in Physics and teaching experience.
