Qualifications

• Requires two (2) years of Residential and/or Commercial HVAC experience and EPA Section 608 certification.
• An A.S. or A.A.S. degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of heating systems and duct construction.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and HVAC building construction plans.
• Knowledge of heating and cooling load calculations.
• Some computer skills or willingness to learn.
• Must meet credentialing requirements for SACS.

Responsibilities

• Teach day and/or evening HVAC classes.
• Teach beginning and intermediate refrigeration and heating classes.
• Teach beginning and intermediate electricity classes connected with HVAC industry.
• Maintain competency records of students in classes assigned.
• Oversee internships and report grades for students in classes assigned.
