Job summary

The University of Cincinnati’s College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services and Information Technology (CECH) is seeking part-time/limited adjunct instructors to serve as field supervisors. The role includes mentoring licensure students in field experiences, reviewing field assignments, observing students, and reporting progress to the Field Coordinator and site mentors.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with PK-12 teaching or supervisory license, strong written and spoken

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline and prior teaching experience.
• Pk-12 teaching or supervisory license in an appropriate field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject.
• Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the teaching performance of teacher candidates at field schools and provide oral and written feedback
• Evaluate assignments and provide written feedback
• Communicate with teacher candidates, mentor teachers, and UC faculty members regarding the performance of the teacher candidate
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise
