Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide Workforce Solutions division (Business/Entrepreneurship, Communication, Computers/Technology, Continuous Improvement/Quality, Culinary/Hospitality, Leadership, and Public Safety & Compliance) instruction to students through a variety of delivery formats (e.g.: online, face to face, virtual computer conference) at Lakeshore College. Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned):

(100%) Instruction

  • Responsible for placing learning first and providing educational experiences for learners in various delivery formats, schedules, and in various places in accordance with the mission of the college inclusive of: facilitating learning of diverse students, assessing student performance, as well as instruction and outcomes, developing and maintaining current/relevant course materials, and communicating with the community, other schools, the college, the division, and team members.
  • Develop and revise curriculum, including learning activities and assessments.
  • Work with the curriculum coach to ensure state and Lakeshore design requirements are met.
  • Teaching/training in business and industry may be required.
  • Establish a professional and safe learning environment.
  • Maintain participant records and documentation. Submit documents within the expected timeframe.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies as needed to support course delivery.

  • Employment is conditional on completion of a Background Information Disclosure (BID) with the results acceptable to the college.
  • Dependent upon position, employment is conditional on completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check with the results acceptable to the college.
  • Must meet and maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System (FQAS) requirements within 5 years of employment.
