Adjunct Faculty – Graphic Design and Digital Arts & Design BS Programs

Part‑time position (up to 20 hours per week) located in Florida, offering both on‑campus and online teaching opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create an environment of learning through effective teaching skills, maintaining a student‑centered focus, and keeping up to date with industry standards.

Select and employ a variety of teaching strategies to encourage active learning.

Interact positively with diverse student populations, providing equal opportunities for learning.

Demonstrate a commitment to the industry, maintaining knowledge and skill relevancy through continuing education as defined in the faculty development plan.

Adhere to university policies, procedures, and attendance standards.

Maintain strict confidentiality of student and organization information.

Skills

• Experience with art direction, design theory, illustration, computer graphics, and Adobe Design software.
• Understanding of the professional graphic design workflow with industry experience.
• Illustration, layout, and design utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with delivering both physical and virtual training.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum of four (4) years of related, verifiable work experience and a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Illustration, Fine Art, Web Design, Digital Arts & Design, Motion Graphics, Multimedia, Emerging Media, Commercial Art, Advertising, Digital Media, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
