All faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, while contributing service to the college. Faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned courses and following the course descriptions and course outlines established by the department. Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses and online/hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities. In accordance with the Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement (CBA), additional activities may include participation in departmental initiatives, evidence of academic achievements, recognition by professional and community organizations, and other duties.
Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in an appropriate discipline required. A doctorate, MFA and/or licensure in a specific discipline preferred and may be required depending on the discipline. Consideration given to applicants that have achieved a degree viewed as a “terminal degree” in specific field/discipline of Visual Art.
ExperiencePrior college or university teaching experience preferred, as evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities. Additional job experience or expertise may be substituted for a Masters Degree in selected disciplines.
SkillsDemonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies in related fields of specialization. Ability to teach lab courses and/or tutor in learning centers as appropriate. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
