The County College of Morris Foundation seeks an Adjunct Faculty member for the Design department to create a dynamic teaching and learning environment. Responsibilities include teaching various design courses including Architecture, Industrial Design, and Fashion Design during day and evening hours.
Applicants should possess a Master’s Degree and prior teaching experience. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills and a professional portfolio. This position provides flexibility to teach in a hybrid structure.

All Design faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, and to provide effective service to the college. Design faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned courses, following course description and course outlines as established by the Design and Media Studies department. Topics within courses may include Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising. Teaching schedules may include day and evening courses as well as hybrid instruction. Additional activities may include instructional development, support of college events and student activities.
Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in appropriate discipline required. An MFA, M.Arch or MID is preferred.
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as is evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities.
Candidate should have demonstrated capacity to teach a variety of design subjects in a design studio environment. Subjects include: Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, and Fashion Merchandising. In addition, candidate should have the capacity to teach foundation courses in design, including Adobe CC products and various platforms of drawing, rendering and modeling.
Professional experience and demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies in related fields of specialization. Ability to teach lab courses. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Portfolio submissions required. Documentation of candidate’s professional work as well as student work in JPEG images organized in a PDF presentation.
