Job summary

Naropa University is seeking Adjunct Faculty for the CMHC, Transpersonal Art Therapy Concentration to teach up to three graduate courses in Spring 2027. Courses may be online, low-residency, synchronous, or in-person, with established curricula to guide instruction.

The appointment is for one semester, with 18 hours/week (45% FTE) and compensation of $4500. Faculty are expected to collaborate with Core Faculty and meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Counseling or related field with ATR-BC if applicable.
• Alternative: Master's degree in Counseling with ATR-BC and licensure eligibility.
• Two years of full-time clinical experience in last five years.
• Significant teaching experience required.
• Ability to apply course content to counseling.
• Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaches with a professional level of preparedness for the semester.
• Reviews syllabus with Core Faculty and submits on time.
• Obtains permission for copyrighted material for sourcebooks.
• Grading, feedback, and timely submission of final grades.
• Enter grading and attendance data into LMS promptly.
• Provides one hour of weekly office hours and availability by appointment.
• Mentor students outside of class via meetings or email.
• Supports Core Curriculum assessment as assigned.
• Collaborate with staff and faculty on student issues and policies.
• Complete required trainings within set time frames.
• Attends faculty meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
