Naropa University is seeking Adjunct Faculty for the CMHC, Transpersonal Art Therapy Concentration to teach up to three graduate courses in Spring 2027. Courses may be online, low-residency, synchronous, or in-person, with established curricula to guide instruction.
The appointment is for one semester, with 18 hours/week (45% FTE) and compensation of $4500. Faculty are expected to collaborate with Core Faculty and meet program requirements.

The Transpersonal Art Therapy department seeks Adjunct Faculty Members to teach up to three graduate-level courses during the Spring 2027 semester. Adjunct Faculty are provided established curriculum and syllabi to work with and further develop in collaboration with Core Faculty.
This is a one-semester appointment with teaching assignments based on departmental needs and faculty expertise. Courses may be offered in online, low-residency, synchronous, and/or in-person formats.
Courses are offered during the Spring 2027 semester.
Teaching assignments may include up to three 3-credit graduate courses within the Transpersonal Art Therapy program.
The Transpersonal Art Therapy program integrates creative process, contemplative practice, psychological theory, and experiential learning to support the development of ethically grounded and culturally responsive clinicians. Coursework may include topics related to art therapy such as history and theory of art therapy, practical application of transpersonal art therapy including community based art studio methods, human development, counseling skills, arts psychotherapy group process, social and multicultural awareness, art therapy assessment and research methods, ethics, and transpersonal approaches to healing.
Faculty members spend most of their time in their classrooms or in virtual meetings with some time in offices. In the classrooms and on campus may experience: interruptions, distractions, heat, cold, dust and/or dampness.
