Job summary

  • Ensure safe, ethical, and high-quality patient care in clinical settings while mentoring students in patient management and professional conduct.
  • Participate in calibration activities to maintain consistency in teaching and clinical evaluation and to uphold Commission on Dental Accreditation standards.
  • Maintain current knowledge of dental science, clinical techniques, and educational best practices, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Communicate regularly with the Course Director and/or the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a positive, inclusive culture of camaraderie, mutual respect, and teamwork that supports TCDM goals.

The University of Pikeville seeks part-time faculty who are dedicated to excellence in teaching and student learning. This application is for a position at the Tanner College of Dental Medicine as a part-time Pre-Clinical and/or Clinical Instructor.

Requirements
  • Must have a DMD or DDS degree or equivalent.
  • Must be licensed to practice dentistry in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to provide clinical instruction.
