The School of Education, University of Redlands, seeks applicants for our adjunct pool. Duties will include credential and master’s level courses from various programs. We seek candidates who share our commitment to educational advocacy, social justice, and inclusive practices in teaching. The University of Redlands is a private non-denominational highly ranked university located in Redlands, California.

Applicants should have a strong grasp of course design, effective teaching strategies, and a minimum of 3 years of teaching, as well as experience working with diverse student populations. Applicants should also offer evidence of potential for excellence in university teaching and the capacity to engage with colleagues in collaborative projects. Minimum Qualifications:

• An earned master’s degree or doctorate in a field related to teacher education.
• Experience working with a diverse range of adult and young adult learners.
• A strong grasp of academic content standards and evidence of effective teaching strategies.
• Familiarity with the integration of educational technologies.

Qualifications by Program:

• Teacher Preparation (Teaching credential required).
  • A minimum of three years teaching in a public‑school setting.
• School Counselor Preparation (Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential required).
• Clinical Mental Health Counseling (LPCC, CDAC, PsyD, or MFT licensure required.)
• School and District Leadership/Educational Administration (Administrative Services credential required).
• Evidence of exemplary teaching at the university level.
• Evidence of an understanding of course and program design principles.
• Experience/interest in online teaching.
• Demonstrated excellence in supervisory work with student teachers.

HIRING RANGE: Anticipated hiring range is near or at the minimum of the classification, commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training. The University of Redlands is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is defined as the Full Pay Range. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position defined as the Hiring Range. Placement within the Hiring Range is determined by internal equity, and relevant qualifications.

BACKGROUND CHECK: Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. DRIVER'S LICENSE CHECK: Possession of a valid Driver's License is required for certain positions. PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL EXAMS: For certain positions typically in Public Safety, Facilities, Athletics and Information Technology Services departments, employment is contingent upon a candidate passing a pre‑employment physical exam with the ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs. Public Safety Officers, in addition to a pre‑employment physical exam, will also be required to pass a psychological evaluation.
