Job summary

Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in the School of Nursing. The role supports teaching across certificate, bachelor’s, master's and doctoral programs, including ABSN and RN-to-BSN tracks.

You will advise and mentor students, meet with them each semester, and contribute to a high-quality learning environment aligned with the university’s mission. The appointment is a nine-month contract with opportunities for current and future teaching assignments;

Qualifications

• Master's degree in subject to be taught or related.
• 5+ years of university-level teaching experience in a bachelor’s or higher degree program is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and advise students.

Responsibilities

• Teach certificate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral courses in nursing programs such as ABSN, RN to BSN, and related offerings.
• Assist in student advising and mentoring.
• Meet with assigned students throughout the semester.
• Provide a quality learning experience for students on a semester basis.
• Adjunct faculty reports to the chair and performs instruction-related duties in line with university policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

Our School of Nursing is committed to helping students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and in the world, inspiring students to go forth into the world to fulfill their nursing vocation in faith filled service through professional excellence, integrity, caring, compassion, and mindful presence.

Adjunct Faculty teach certificate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral courses in programs such as:

• Accelerated Second Degree BSN (ABSN) for Non-Nurses
• RN to BSN Completion Program for Registered Nurses
• Assist in student advising and mentoring
• Responsible for meeting with assigned students throughout the semester
• Provides a quality learning experience for students on a semester basis.
• Adjunct faculty reports to the chair and performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the university
• All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
