Job summary

  • Adjunct faculty assess student performance and provide feedback within the courses offered in fall and spring semesters.

The College of Aviation at the Prescott, Arizona campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Safety Sciences. This position is in support of our undergraduate students completing specified electives and minors in the subject of aviation safety.

The selected candidate will be expected to develop instructional content and teach one to two in-person course(s) per semester from the course titles of 1) Introduction to Aerospace Safety, 2) Human Factors in Aviation Safety, 3) Introduction to Safety Management Systems, or 4) Safety Program Management. Adjunct faculty also assess the performance of their students. The course(s) will be offered in the fall and spring academic semesters.

The selected candidate must have at least a Master’s degree in Safety Science, Aviation, Aeronautics, or a closely related discipline. A PhD in a related discipline and teaching experience are strongly preferred; aviationindustry experience and FAA certifications are also desired.
