Job summary

Lakeshore College is seeking an adjunct Radiography instructor to teach in the Radiography Program using online, face-to-face, or virtual formats. This position is semester-by-semester and contingent on enrollment and scheduling.

Responsibilities include developing curriculum, assessing student performance, and maintaining current course materials while delivering excellent customer service to students and internal/external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiography from a regionally accredited college or university is required.
  • A minimum of two years' (4,000 hours) of recent relevant occupational experience in a related discipline is required.
  • One year (2,000 hours) of experience within the last five years is strongly preferred.
  • Current ARRT certification.

  • Instruction: Deliver instructional learning across delivery formats and develop and maintain course materials.
  • Develop curriculum, including learning activities and assessments.
  • Collaborate with curriculum coach to meet state and Lakeshore design requirements.
  • Teaching/training in business and industry may be assigned.

Overview

NOTE: This is an adjunct instructional position. Course assignments are made on a semester-by-semester basis and are contingent upon departmental needs, student enrollment, and scheduling availability. As such, hours are not guaranteed, and teaching opportunities may not be available immediately upon hire.

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide instruction to students in the Radiography Program through a variety of delivery formats (e.g.: online, face to face, virtual computer conference) at Lakeshore College. Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.

  • Responsible for placing learning first and providing educational experiences for learners in various delivery formats, schedules, and in various places in accordance with the mission of the college inclusive of: facilitating learning of diverse students, assessing student performance, as well as instruction and outcomes, developing and maintaining current/relevant course materials, and communicating with the community, other schools, the college, the division, and team members.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION
  • Current ARRT certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.

  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment may require multi-tasking.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
CONDITION(S) OF EMPLOYMENT
  • Employment conditional on completion of a Background Information Disclosure (BID) with the results acceptable to the College.
  • Must meet and maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System (FQAS) requirements within 5 years of employment.
