Broward College invites applications for a part-time teaching position in Radiologic Technology. The ideal candidate will hold an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology, be a Certified Radiologic Technologist with Florida CRT and ARRT, and CPR AED certified.

Two years of clinical experience and two years of post-secondary teaching in a JRCERT program are required. Strong computer literacy and dedication to educating under-prepared students are essential.

Job Description Summary

Minimum Education:

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology required

Minimum Certification:

• Certified Radiologic Technologist
• Florida licensure (CRT) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• CPR AED Certification

Minimum Experience/Training:

• Two years’ clinical experience in professional discipline.
• Two years post-secondary teaching experience in a JRCERT accredited program.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate (1) a mastery of their specific discipline; (2) a deep commitment to the college mission of fostering student success, academic achievement, and persistence; (3) technological competence; and (4) the ability to use skills and strategies that engage students in ways that facilitate learning and prepare students for productive lives.
• Employ teaching methods to accommodate various levels of academic preparation and incorporate appropriate and engaging technology across different modalities of instruction to facilitate student learning.
• Facilitate the needs of different learners across programs by implementing responsive pedagogical techniques and effective practices for engaging students.
• Have a willingness to examine and adapt one’s instructional, relational, and classroom practices to more effectively engage and support students.
• Engage in student consultation, course preparation, review of course outlines, and preparation of course syllabi.
• Provide prompt and constructive support to students through regular office hours and timely feedback on assessments and activities.
• Provide prompt feedback to student emails.
• Adhere to all reporting deadlines such as grade processing, enrollment verification, syllabus submission, and textbook adoption.
• Participate in service to the college and its community.
