Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Adjunct Assistant Professor will develop, prepare, and teach a variety of radiology coursework. The position requires flexibility to teach courses during the day, evening, or online and is part‑time. Compensation is $822 per semester credit hour and $32.88 per clock/contact hour.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver instruction in didactic, laboratory, and classroom settings to promote student success.
• Support and promote the college and departmental missions centered on excellence in teaching and learning.
• Collaborate with the Director, faculty, and peers to evaluate, revise, and develop curriculum that cultivates mastery of course content.
• Correlate clinical education with didactic education and evaluate student performance.
• Demonstrate technological literacy and innovation in the delivery of instruction.
• Work collaboratively as part of a cohesive academic team.
• Assist with the implementation of college policies, objectives, and functions in accordance with the college philosophy, mission, and strategic initiatives.
• Understand and enforce college and program policies.
• Participate in departmental meetings and collegewide committees as needed.
• Provide students with frequent, timely assessment and clear feedback regarding academic performance.
• Appropriately document student progress and maintain records including attendance, grading, and learning outcomes.
• Develop methods that fairly and accurately assess students’ progress in achieving learning outcomes.
• Maintain appropriate office hours proportionate to the instructional assignment.
• Assist and advise students with academic, clinical, and professional issues.
• Assist the Program Director with preparing reports for internal and external audiences.
• Assist in recruitment activities of the program.
• Maintain current knowledge of radiology and educational methodologies through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
• Maintain good standing with credentialing and licensing bodies.
• Strictly honor the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information according to applicable regulations, including FERPA.
• Comply with all published college rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws governing public employees.
• Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in radiography, biology, anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, histology, kinesiology/exercise physiology, medicine, pathology, pharmacology, physiology, or zoology.
• Registered radiologic technologist and eligible for a professional license in the state of Florida.
