The Textile/Surface Design department is recruiting a pool of applicants for possible adjunct teaching positions for TD 334 Complex Dobby Wovens. Successful candidates will have expertise in multi-harness, advanced level drafting, experience using 16-24 harness hand looms (AVL compu-dobby preferred), and experience with industry-standard software such as Pointcarre or Nedgraphics for dobby, as well as experience with technical packs for developing woven fabrics. Ideal candidates have strong skills in layouts, repeats, color, and the ability to analyze and research current market color and concept trends. Experience designing wovens for the fashion or home industry or a robust fiber arts practice using complex weaving is preferred.

Additional Information: This is a part-time position beginning in Spring 2025. Applications will be reviewed immediately and continuously until the position is filled. The department maintains a pool of qualified candidates for future adjunct assignments.
Compensation: $84.60 per hour, based on qualifications. Final rates are determined by the candidate’s ability to meet additional criteria as per the CBA.
