Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is seeking instructors to teach Psychology across campus locations, with online and evening opportunities. In-person classes Monday–Friday, with morning/afternoon availability.
The role requires commitment to excellence in teaching and service and alignment with the college’s mission and values. The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Psychology (or related with required psychology hours) and have experience in teaching at the community college level.
Responsible for teaching courses and assessing learning outcomes in Psychology. Available assignments include campus locations across EICC , including college campus and high school building; in-person Monday through Friday; Morning and/or Afternoon availability desired. Online and Evening Teaching opportunities available as well. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching and service. Must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the community college.
Master’s Degree Psychology or a Master’s Degree with 12 graduate semester hours in Psychology (all types), Counseling, Behavioral Studies, Human Development, Human Services, Psychiatry, Studies in Human Behavior, and Psychology Education. 6 hours must be in Psychology and/or Counseling. Community College teaching or training experience is preferred.
Community college teaching experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to use a variety of technology-based instructional tools is highly preferred. Ability to teach in on-line and/or hybrid environments is desired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
The teacher must see and hear on a continuous basis as well as speak frequently. Positions may vary from standing, sitting, or walking. On a rare occasion it may be necessary to move quickly, run, etc.
Salary $2100 per course for 3 credit Hr. course
