Job summary

NHTI – Concord’s Community College is building a talent pool of qualified adjunct faculty to teach in the Human Services/Addiction Counseling & Social Sciences fields. This role supports programs that prepare students for careers in social work, counseling, and related fields, with emphasis on practical skills and professional development.

Instructors will deliver in-person classes, develop syllabi, and engage students through discussions, assignments, and assessments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• Prior teaching experience and familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS) preferred.
• Residency must reside in NH.
• Instructors will teach in-person courses with morning, afternoon, and/or evening availability.
• Course delivery uses curricula aligned with department and program standards.
• Foster active learning through discussions, assignments, and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person courses with morning/afternoon/evening availability.
• Develop course syllabi and respond promptly to student emails.
• Attend monthly department meetings and grade assignments in a timely manner.
• Provide instruction aligned with department standards and assess student progress.
