Job Description: The Entrepreneurship department is recruiting a pool of applicants for possible adjunct teaching positions in entrepreneurship. Adjunct instructors are expected to teach a 15-week class, engage in professional organizations, and maintain industry relationships. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, a commitment to quality education, and be student-centered. They should be collaborative, aware of diversity, equity, and inclusion, aligning with FIT's mission. The ideal candidate will be creative, business-driven, and experienced in entrepreneurial or technological areas such as entrepreneurial principles, new ventures, business models, innovation, product development, entrepreneurial finance, emerging technologies, or strategy. Leadership skills are essential.

Adjunct instructors will deliver course content, assess student performance, provide guidance, and submit grades timely. Course descriptions are available in the online catalog.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Candidates should possess relevant degrees and experience, with capabilities in core areas such as:

  • Globalism: Awareness of global issues impacting entrepreneurship and the creative industries.
  • Instructional Design: Ability to balance theory and practice, design engaging coursework, and accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Learning Enrichment: Use of innovative pedagogies, inspiring curiosity, integrating technology, and supporting varied student needs.
  • Professionalism: Active participation in entrepreneurial communities, sharing industry contacts, and fostering collegial relationships.
  • Technology: Effective use of technology and familiarity with Microsoft Office, learning management systems, and FIT portals.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field or related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • College teaching experience.

This is a part-time position starting Spring 2025. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The department maintains a candidate pool for future opportunities.

Compensation: $84.60/hour, based on qualifications and experience, governed by the UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement.
