Dormont Manufacturing Co is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for a part-time position to enhance the educational experience of students at Ivy Tech Community College. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of relevant technologies and engage effectively with students to help them achieve their goals.
Responsibilities include delivering classes according to established syllabi, maintaining student records, and creating a positive learning environment. A Master's degree in physics or related field with relevant coursework is required.
Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Program Chair, Department Chair, or Dean. SUPERVISION GIVEN: None.
Part-Time.
Compensation: $47.35 per contract hour.
This position is on an as-needed basis and demand can vary per semester enrollment.
Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction. Conducts all activities with an appreciation, respect, and promotion of diversity of people, styles, and views.
