Responsibilities

The Department of Physician Assistant Studies at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) seeks dynamic, experienced, and student‑centered adjunct faculty to join our team. Adjunct faculty will teach in the didactic or clinical phase of the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program, depending on area of expertise. This role includes in‑person instruction, student assessment, and collaboration with full‑time faculty to deliver high‑quality, competency‑based medical education. Reporting to the Program Director, adjunct faculty serve as content experts, educators, and professional role models who support student learning and academic success.

• Current board certification and licensure, if applicable, in the healthcare profession aligned with course content
• Minimum of three years of clinical or academic experience in the subject area being taught
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching or instructional experience in higher education preferred
• Familiarity with ARC‑PA accreditation standards
• Experience using instructional technologies

Adjunct Faculty offered hourly rate is contingent on applicable rank.
