Job summary

Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the Outdoor Adventure Parks and Recreation Degree (OAPR) within the Exercise Science Department. You will work with full-time faculty on classroom ( including online ) instruction, content design and delivery, and student assessment under the Associate Dean’s supervision.

This is a pooled, contract-to-contract position with on-site campus duties.

Qualifications

• Earned Master’s degree or equivalent, from an accredited college or university, in Outdoor Recreation, or a closely related field.
• Official transcripts are required for those offered employment within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Becomes familiar with and abides by all college policies, prioritizing policies governing interactions with colleagues and students.
• Maintains professional etiquette in communications with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
• Provides appropriate and timely feedback for assignments and returns graded work per department standards.
• Maintains attendance records and grades for Financial Aid purposes and conducts evaluations of student performance.
• Informs students of progress and submits grades by published deadlines; maintains a respectful instructional environment.
• Handles student concerns promptly and maintains professional appearance as defined by policy.

Education

Master’s degree or equivalent in Outdoor Recreation or related field
