Job summary

Salt Lake Community College invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Outdoor Adventure Parks and Recreation degree program. The incumbent will work with full-time faculty under the supervision of the Associate Dean, contributing to classroom instruction (including online), content design, and student evaluation.

This is a pooled position that reopens annually; all SLCC employees are expected to maintain a permanent Utah address and commute to campus as required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Outdoor Recreation or related field.

Responsibilities

• Work with full-time faculty in program and class-related duties, including classroom instruction (online and in-person).
• Content design and delivery, and student evaluation for the Outdoor Adventure Parks and Recreation Degree (OAPR).
• Becomes familiar with college policies and maintains professional etiquette in communications with students, staff, and faculty.
• Provide feedback on assignments and return graded work in a timely fashion per department standards.
• Maintain attendance records and grades for Financial Aid purposes.
