Adjunct Faculty, Oncology

The KGI School of Pharmacy is seeking outstanding individuals to teach in an integrated oncology pharmacy course.

Education and Experience
  • Pharm.D. from an accredited college of pharmacy with post‑graduate residency, fellowship, or equivalent experience gained over a period of at least three to five years in a healthcare setting.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in California.
  • Clinical experience in oncology is preferred.
  • Previous experience teaching Doctor of Pharmacy students and a track record of effective scholarship.
  • Strong commitment to innovative teaching.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Creating, delivering, and assessing instruction and its effectiveness for student learning in the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with electronic learning management systems and testing systems (e.g., Canvas, ExamSoft).
  • Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a highly motivated team.
  • Honesty, integrity, and commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
Hours, Classification, and Status

This is a part‑time, exempt adjunct faculty position and is not eligible for benefits. Schedules will vary depending on course assignments and the needs of the department or the Institute. The base salary range for this position is $2,500 – $15,000 per semester, depending on credits per course.

Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Maintain good concentration while dealing with interruptions; attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy.
  • Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to hear within normal parameters.
  • Ability to bend and stoop (e.g., to file).
  • Ability to move about.
  • Ability to lift and carry short distances up to 20 lbs. (e.g., to lift or move office supplies, files, books, and packages).
  • Ability to travel locally, depending on business needs.
