Bryant & Stratton College in Rochester, NY is seeking Adjunct Instructors for its Liberal Arts program in Mathematics to provide 3 to 14 instructional hours weekly and participate in campus initiatives supporting recruitment, retention, and graduation goals.

In this exempt, on-site role, you will maintain current knowledge in mathematics, help monitor curricula, attend staff meetings, and apply active learning, authentic assessment, and portfolios to achieve learning outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Masters or better in Mathematics.
  • 1-2 years: Master's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Math related field or Master's in Education with Bachelor's In Mathematics field is required and previous teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 3 to 14 instructional contact hours per week in the Mathematics subject area.
  • Participate in campus-wide initiatives in support of recruitment, retention, and graduation goals.
  • Maintain one Skills Assistance contact hour per week for every five instructional hours assigned.
  • Maintain one Administrative contact hour per week for every five instructional contact hours assigned.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of teaching discipline/field of study.
  • Participate in curriculum monitoring and development process.
  • Attend required college functions including staff meetings, in-service training, and special activities.
  • Utilize active learning (facilitation), authentic assessment, and portfolio assignments to support the teaching and learning outcomes of the college.
  • Adhere to and uphold all established operational policies and procedures as described in operating documentation (official catalog, Faculty Guide).

Bryant& Stratton College is seeking Adjunct Instructors for its Liberal Arts program in the areas of Mathematics.

Job Knowledge/Systems

  • Provide 3 to 14 instructional contact hours per week in the Mathematics subject area.

$666 per contact hour. Generally, courses range between 3 to 6 contact hours so the salary range for this exempt position would be between $2,000-$4,000.
