Qualifications

Overview / Job Summary

The Adjunct Faculty in Machining Technology will provide part-time instructional support in the machining fields, including manual and CNC machining processes. This position involves teaching theory and hands-on techniques to help students develop the skills necessary to excel in the machining industry.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering lectures and hands-on instruction in machining technology courses
  • Assisting in curriculum development and updating course materials according to industry standards
  • Evaluating student performance, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records
  • Ensuring the proper use and maintenance of machining tools and equipment during lab sessions
  • Collaborating with full-time faculty and industry partners to maintain course relevance
  • Adhering to college policies and contributing to a positive learning environment
Requirements
Education
  • Associates Degree or higher from a nationally or regionally accredited institution, preferred
Experience & Skills
  • Industry experience in machining technology, including CNC and manual machining, typically 4+ years, preferred
  • Prior teaching or training experience in technical or adult education, preferred
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, safety practices, and machine tool operation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency with computers and common software applications used in education
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment
