The School of Education invites applications for an adjunct faculty position for our Literacy Studies Practicum courses in the Department of Specialized Programs. Applicants should have knowledge and experience teaching formative reading and writing evaluations, assessment‑driven instructional planning that includes literature engagements, collaborative learning, and multimodal literacy invitations, and strategy assessments. The position includes supervision of interns in small‑group literacy support for readers at the Hofstra Reading/Writing Learning Clinic.

Qualifications

• An earned MSED in Literacy Studies with NY State Literacy Specialist Certification is required.
• Initial Certification in ELED or Secondary Education.
• Demonstrated record of working with graduate students in a Literacy Studies Program.
