Description: The mission of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law is to prepare, challenge and inspire our students to make a difference in the world while advancing important ideas through the legal academy, the profession and society — making an impact of our own. Since 1970, Hofstra Law has provided more than 13,000 students with an education rich in both theory and experiential skills needed to produce outstanding lawyers, business executives, and community leaders. The Law School invites adjunct faculty positions in a broad range of substantive areas for the 2026-27 academic year; this is a part-time position.

Our adjunct faculty benefit from being part of an active, engaged, and diverse law school community of scholars and teachers. All adjunct faculty are encouraged to participate in workshops, conferences, and other aspects of academic life at the Law School and at the University.

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience in the related subject matter.
• Candidates must demonstrate a strong record of excellence in teaching, scholarship and/or practical experience in their field of expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates who have previous experience teaching in a law school are preferred.

Salary/Salary Range: Hofstra provides the above salary as a good-faith estimate of the starting pay range, considering factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
