Job description

To participate in a remote work arrangement, employees must reside in the United States. No remote work arrangement will be considered for working from outside the United States.

Each course at Herzing University is designed to introduce new concepts, build upon prior knowledge, provide resources, and assess student development of competencies and learning objectives. The faculty member assists students in navigating the learning process within a course.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Master's degree in a healthcare related field
• At least one of the following certifications:
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) through AHIMA
  • Certified Coding Specialist-Physician Based (CCS-P) through AHIMA
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through AAPC
• Current industry experience in healthcare settings
• Minimum of two years of healthcare operations knowledge related to insurance billing and medical coding
• College-level teaching experience in insurance, billing, and medical coding

Preferred experience includes teaching remotely using LMS platforms and industry experience in coding.
