Adjunct Faculty Instructor, Digital Photography

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Adjunct faculty are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. Courses may be delivered in various formats such as face-to-face, online, hybrid, or blended. Responsibilities also include student evaluation and the timely, accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in photography is required.
  • A Master's or MFA in Photography is preferred.
  • Experience teaching studio photography, including manual camera skills, design strategies, visual literacy, Lightroom Classic, digital printing, and digital asset management.
  • Ability to teach all levels of photography to both majors and non-majors, including proficiency with Adobe Bridge, Adobe Lightroom Classic, and digital asset management.
  • Experience with remote teaching and access to personal technology for online instruction is preferred.
Additional Information:
  • Teaching statements and a portfolio with 20 examples of student work and personal work are required.
  • Teaching assignments may include face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats during days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Positions are paid via stipends for course assignments.
  • A pre-employment background check is required at the college's expense.
