Job summary

pec is seeking an instructor to provide quality instruction to students at our Atlanta, GA campus. You will teach assigned courses, prepare lessons, and ensure clear course expectations with a standardized syllabus.

This role emphasizes meaningful assignments and ongoing assessments tied to real learning outcomes. You will interact with students to foster participation, respond to questions within 48 hours, and refer at-risk students to appropriate academic support services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years teaching undergraduate courses
• Minimum 5 years teaching graduate courses
• Master's degree in field of instruction required
• Doctorate degree in field of instruction required
• Background check required
• Submit resume and unofficial transcripts

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses
• Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons
• Provide clear course expectations, evaluations and timelines through outlines and syllabus
• Provide interesting and relevant assignments for learning outcomes
• Engage with students and communicate to encourage participation
• Complete assessments, grade books, and final grade sheets
• Respond to student questions within 48 hours
• Identify and refer at-risk students to academic support services
• Ensure learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus
• Ensure safety and sanitation of labs, equipment and supplies
• Post and maintain office and classroom schedules
• Support retention activities across program, campus and university
• Attend in-services and professional development activities
• Complete required professional development and training
• Maintain credentials as required by accrediting bodies
