Job description

About the Position

Nossi College of Art & Design is reviewing candidates for our Fall 2025 start.

Sequential Art Instruction

They would help guide students to create illustration in the narrative form. Storyboarding video productions, television commercials and feature films are a necessity in the world of visual entertainment. Students will also explore the concept and development of Concept Art, where the main goal is to convey a visual representation of design, idea and/or mood for use in films, video games, animation or comic books prior to final art.

Anatomy & Figure Drawing

An instructor would guide students weekly by drawing a figure model in class. The structure of the human body is taught by observing the skeleton of the human figure. Understanding the bone structure is an essential prerequisite to drawing the human figure accurately with an emphasis on the muscular structure of the human body. Upon completion, students will be able to produce professional drawings of anatomically correct figures, depict chiaroscuro in the figure, contrast and emphasize value and placement of the figures by using pencil, charcoal, pastel, conté and other mediums.

Basic Drawing

A drawing instructor would guide students weekly through hands‑on practice, focusing on foundational drawing techniques. The curriculum emphasizes understanding basic shapes, proportions, and perspective by studying simple objects and still life setups. Upon completion, students will be able to produce high‑quality sketches, effectively apply techniques such as hatching and blending to depict light and shadow, and create balanced compositions using pencil, colored pencils, charcoal, ink, and other mediums.

Color Theory

A color theory instructor would guide students weekly through practical exercises, focusing on the principles of color relationships and their application. Students will develop skills through structured projects such as creating color schemes and studying real‑world examples. Upon completion, students will be able to produce high‑quality compositions, effectively apply color to evoke mood and depth, and confidently use mediums like watercolor, acrylic, digital tools, and other materials.
